Rural Renewable Energy Systems
Renewable energy applications in rural areas, energy transition pathways, decentralized systems, and appropriate technology models for African communities.
A practical training program planned with the College of Engineering, China Agricultural University, focusing on renewable energy technology applications in rural areas, biomass energy, agricultural biotechnology, clean utilization of biomass, sustainable agriculture, and technology cooperation for Africa.
This program is designed to connect African development needs with practical knowledge in rural renewable energy, biomass utilization, clean energy systems, agricultural biotechnology, and technology application pathways.
The program builds on the theme of renewable energy technology applications in rural areas. It translates topics such as biomass conversion, clean fuel, bioenergy systems, renewable energy transition, agricultural biotechnology, and rural energy technology into a course framework suitable for African learning, exchange, and capacity development.
The program is planned in cooperation with the College of Engineering, China Agricultural University, with relevant cooperation platforms including the International Joint Research Center for Biomass Energy Science and Technology and the Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Clean Utilization of Biomass, China.
The following course system is extracted from the previous international training workshop structure and refined into broader modules suitable for AOU's website presentation.
Renewable energy applications in rural areas, energy transition pathways, decentralized systems, and appropriate technology models for African communities.
Biomass energy strategy, agricultural waste utilization, biomass gasification, thermochemical conversion, torrefied biomass, and clean biomass applications.
